Lianne studied flute at The Royal College of Music and 2nd study piano. In her last term she embarked on a freelance career playing the flute.
She now works as guest principal flute with the BBC Concert Orchestra, The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, The English National Ballet, Birmingham Royal Ballet, English Chamber Orchestra and London Mozart Players amongst others. She tours all over the world and works with other London and regional orchestras. She is frequently in the West End and currently works at Les Miserables, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera and Oliver. Studio work is another important part of her work, and she has most recently recorded the score for Mission Impossible.


As a teacher Lianne has more than 30 years’ experience teaching all ages the flute and piano. She has worked in schools and privately but now teaches solely at her home in Tunbridge Wells where she welcomes a handful of students.
