Jemma Bauser
Jemma is a British oboist whose rich and varied career spans orchestral, solo, and chamber music across Europe. She studied at two of London’s most prestigious institutions—the Royal College of Music and the Royal Academy of Music. Following her studies, jemma was awarded a full scholarship to study under the renowned Hansjörg Schellenberger at the Encuentro Música y Academia in Santander, Spain. There, she had the privilege of performing chamber works alongside principal woodwind players from the Berlin philharmonic. Her orchestral experience includes performances with the BBC Concert Orchestra and the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra. She has worked under the baton of esteemed conductors such as Bernard Haitink and Vladimir Ashkenazy. Her versatility has also led her to the West End, where she played oboe for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. As a soloist, Jemma has performed concertos and recorded both solo oboe and orchestral repertoire for film and television. Now based in Paris, she continues to perform with a variety of chamber ensembles and orchestras.
