Paul Saunders

By successfully adding saxophones and flutes to his portfolio Paul has become one of the most versatile woodwind players on the London scene. Previous West End shows include: Billy Elliot, Guys and Dolls, Les Misérables, The Producers, Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Full Monty, My Fair Lady, Ghost, Chicago, Top Hat and many more… Paul’s current post is the clarinet chair on the West End production of Wicked, a post he has held since the show opened in 2006. As the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire’s multi-instrumental consultant, Paul’s role is two- fold.

Andy Findon

Andy is Europe’s most recorded flute player, featured on countless film, TV, and album recordings, and renowned for his innovative solo releases and long-standing role in the Michael Nyman Band. A master of both traditional and rare woodwinds, he is London’s go-to “ethnic” instrumentalist and a key contributor to the Spitfire Audio sample libraries. Andy also composes extensively for music libraries and performs with acclaimed groups such as Home Service, Gryphon, and major London orchestras. His career blends classical, folk, rock, and global music with unmatched versatility.

David Ruff

David is a versatile London-based flautist and multi-instrumentalist with degrees from Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He freelances with top UK orchestras like the London Philharmonic and BBC Philharmonic, and has extensive West End and international musical theatre experience. Skilled across flute, piccolo, clarinet, and saxophones, David also records for film and TV, and teaches at schools including Lochinver House and Music Makers summer courses. His career blends performance, recording, and education with technical mastery and musical intuition.

Rhys Taylor

Rhys, born in Aberystwyth, began playing clarinet at age eight and joined the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain by eleven, realizing his dream of a professional career. A 2005 graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music with first-class honours, Rhys has performed many concertos, including Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Copland’s Clarinet Concerto with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. He has a deep connection to Welsh musical traditions, winning multiple gold medals at Eisteddfodau and serving as musical director of the Bryn Terfel Urdd Scholarship Award. Rhys is an accomplished orchestral player, musical director, arranger, and composer, with diverse experience in musical theatre, leading three bands, and creating original musical works acclaimed in Wales and beyond.

Chris Hatton

Chris is a London-based freelance woodwind specialist with a diverse career in orchestral, chamber, and theatre work. A Guildhall School of Music & Drama graduate, he is acclaimed for his versatility on clarinet, saxophone, and flute, performing in London’s West End and on tours across the UK and abroad. He has received several awards for his performances and also teaches at various London junior conservatoires and independent schools.
