Andrew Huntriss

Andrew studied music and philosophy at the university of birmingham, before undertaking a master’s degree at the guildhall school of music and drama in london. As a professional bassoonist, andrew has appeared on television and radio, and has performed extensively across europe, including a six month spell in portugal.

Christina Jayne

Since graduating in 2011 from the royal welsh college of music and drama, christina has pursued a successful freelance career, combining performing and teaching. She has performed with a variety of orchestras, including the bbc national orchestra of wales, the royal northern sinfonia, welsh national opera and the royal ballet sinfonia.

Jo Shewan

Joanna is a seasoned professional bassoonist with over 25 years of performance experience. Throughout her illustrious career, she has played with many of the country’s leading orchestras, including the bbc philharmonic, bbc now, bbc concert orchestra, halle, britten sinfonia, bournemouth symphony, royal liverpool philharmonic, and welsh national opera, among others.

Ruth Molins

Ruth grew up in north london and started learning the trombone at the age of nine, studying at the guildhall school of music and drama junior department. Ruth read music at the university of york, studying trombone with robert burtenshaw, and gaining (rst class honours in her undergraduate degree.

Roger Cutts

Roger has been the section principal trombone of the welsh national opera since 1996. Prior to this, he held a position with the hong kong philharmonic.

Abigail Burrows

Abigail teaches at the royal academy of music junior department and currently directs flute ensemble projects at trinity laban. She has previously taught at junior guildhall and the purcell school, britain’s oldest specialist music school.

Jo Mayne

Jo completed her undergraduate studies at birmingham conservatoire, studying bassoon with martin gatt and maria mealey and contrabassoon with margaret cookhorn.

Rosalie Curlett

Rosalie began her studies at the royal northern college of music in manchester, graduating with a first-class honours degree. After several years of freelancing rosalie moved to northern ireland in february 2018, having been awarded a full time position with the ulster orchestra.

Melanie White

Melanie is a london-born flautist who honed her craft at trinity laban conservatoire, london, under the tutelage of michael cox & pat morris. With three decades of experience, she has built a reputation as a versatile performer who captivates audiences with her solo and principal flute performances in a wide range of professional and regional orchestras in london and the home counties
