Roger has been the Section Principal Trombone of the Welsh National Opera since 1996. Prior to this, he held a position with the Hong Kong Philharmonic.
As a freelance musician, Roger has performed as Principal Trombone with many of the UK’s leading orchestras, including the London Symphony Orchestra, Royal Opera House, London Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Opera, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Hallé Orchestra, and the Royal Scottish National Orchestra.
In addition to his performing career, Roger is a dedicated educator and serves as Trombone Tutor at both the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (RWCMD) and the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM).
