Laura teaches bassoon at Dulwich College, Kings College School and Eltham College in London. She grew up in Cornwall and initially began bassoon on a council-funded program, before studying at The Royal Academy of Music and Manhattan School of Music with Gareth Newman and Frank Morelli respectively.

As a teenager Laura was a member of The National Youth Orchestra which sparked a great love of orchestral music and she has performed with most of the UK orchestras. Her most memorable musical experiences have included touring the USA with Tchaikovsky’s 6th symphony and the London Philharmonic Orchestra, Brahm’s violin concerto in Japan with Hilary Hahn and The Philharmonia Orchestra, and the BBC proms with Florence + the Machine. She was appointed an associate of The Royal Academy of Music in 2015 and when not playing bassoon, can be found running everything from cross country to marathons.
