Connie studied at The Royal Academy of Music in London, graduating in 2000 with her teaching licentiate (LRAM). She held the post of associate principal bassoon with RTE National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland in Dublin for 5 years before returning to the UK in 2013 and is now regarded as one of the UK’s top freelance bassoonists. Recent performance work includes Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra of the Royal Opera House and London Mozart Players. She teaches at  The Royal academy of music junior department, Wells Cathedral school (one of the UK’s specialist music schools) and works closely with The National Children’s Orchestra as a bassoon/woodwind tutor and audition adjudicator. In 2023, she was listed on The Royal Academy of Music’s new years’s honours list, becoming an associate of The Royal Academy of Music.

She lives in Northamptonshire with her partner, two children and their two cats.
