Alice Eddie

Age Range: 7 and Up

Alice studied at the Royal College of Music and has been teaching and freelancing as both a clarinettist and saxophonist in London for 20 years. She has performed extensively in the West End, with credits including War Horse, Oliver!, Les Misérables, A Christmas Carol and Wicked, and has held chairs at both Regent’s Park open air theatre and Chichester festival theatre. She has recently been touring Europe with Phantom of the opera and has enjoyed taking the show to countries and new audiences, experiencing it for the very first time. Orchestrally, Alice has performed with orchestras including the BBC Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, English National Ballet, Royal Ballet Sinfonia, London Concert Orchestra and Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.
Alongside her performing career, Alice is a passionate music educator. She is currently the clarinet coach for The National Youth Concert Band and has worked on education and outreach projects with leading institutions such as The Royal Opera House, The London Philharmonic Orchestra, and The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.
Alice currently teaches at St. Albans high school for girls, and has previously held teaching positions at King’s College, Cambridge choir school, and Putney high school for girls. She is committed to ensuring students begin with strong foundational technique, helping to foster both confidence and long-term enjoyment. Alice brings energy, and enthusiasm to all her teaching and looks forward to welcoming new students online soon.
