Robert Samuel

Robert was introduced to brass when he started playing the cornet with the gwaun-cae-gurwen brass band, aged eight. He quickly progressed to the national youth brass band of wales, being awarded the john childs memorial scroll in 1990 and 1991 as the most promising player.

Kate Hainsworth

Kate has a varied career of teaching, performing and recording. Kate has been teaching for over 15 years. She finds this extremely rewarding and currently teaches all brass and music theory at the royal masonic school for girls in rickmansworth, both in the prep and senior schools and she also teaches privately.

Emily Haf

Emily is a female british pianist, trumpet player and dj currently residing in bahrain. Emily studied at the royal northern college of music under john gough and tracey redfern.

Dave Price

Since graduating with a bmus(hons) degree from london university dave has had a very varied performing and teaching career. He initially toured with the orchestra of the bolshoi ballet and was later on the music staff at the royal national theatre for many years, including for the productions of trellawney of the wells, the resistible rise of arturo ui and the ongoing an inspector calls.

Ruth Molins

Ruth grew up in north london and started learning the trombone at the age of nine, studying at the guildhall school of music and drama junior department. Ruth read music at the university of york, studying trombone with robert burtenshaw, and gaining (rst class honours in her undergraduate degree.

Jonathan Clarke

Jonathan’s professional career began aged 23 in 2001 when he was appointed Principal Trumpet with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic. He performed weekly at the famous venue the Concertgebouw under conductors such as Alexander Lazarev, Jaap van Zweden, Gennadi Rhozdestvensky, Hans Werner Henze, John Adams and the late Hans Vonk.

Dan Anthony

Dan graduated from the Royal College of Music, London in 1992. In his final year at the college he was awarded the overall Brass Prize for his principal study, the French horn, and was also a finalist in the Royal Overseas League Competition in 1995. On leaving college he started his career as a freelance horn player and worked intensively with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra under Sir Simon Rattle.

Mark Bennett

Mark  is a British-born trumpet player whose illustrious career spans over four decades. Renowned for his musicality, he has established himself as one of the most accomplished trumpet players of his generation. Throughout his career, Mark has performed at the highest level across a diverse range of musical settings, from solo performances to recording sessions, London’s West End musicals, orchestral and brass ensemble engagements.

Katrina Lauder

Katrina Lauder is a freelance French Horn player based in the UK. She plays with world renowned symphony orchestras from all over the globe. Including Principal horn with The City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Co-Principal horn with The London Philharmonic Orchestra and The Symphony Orchestra of India, as well as playing for shows in London’s West End. She has recorded albums with the likes of Annie Lennox and Ebe Oke and has toured with Sting on the album If on a Winter’s Night.

Francesca Moore Bridger

Francesca is a successful freelance French horn player and the Principal Horn of Orchestra of the Swan. After graduating from Newnham College, Cambridge and the Royal Academy of Music she became Principal Horn of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Santiago, Chile.
