Shu-wei Tseng is a renowned Taiwanese-British musician celebrated for her exceptional technique and artistry. She has graced the stages of major concert halls across four continents, showcasing her talent as a soloist and chamber musician on both the piano and cello. She represented the UK at the 75th D-day commemoration concert in Normandy, France, on the piano. She also delivered sold-out performances alongside the award-winning New York City Ballet principal dancer Tiler Peck for her European debut. Additionally, she was the first Taiwanese artist to perform at the prestigious embassy series at London’s St Martin-in-the-fields, and Taiwan culture salon, sponsored by the Taiwan ministry of culture.
With over three decades of performing career under her belt and 25+ years of teaching experience in four languages on three continents, Shu-wei has held teaching positions at prestigious institutions, including the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Royal Academy and Royal College of Music, Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, the Yehudi Menuhin school, City of London school for girls, Lady Eleanor Holles school, The Cardinal Vaughan memorial school, Cu Boulder, specialising in raising both academic and instrumental performance attainment, helping students to apply for conservatoires and degree studies internationally. Her former students have successfully been accepted on top conservatoires and universities across Europe and the USA.
Shu-wei’s impressive educational background includes a doctor of musical arts (DMA) from Cu Boulder, as well as LRAMs, Mmus, and Bmus (hons) from London’s Royal Academy of Music on her two instruments, Msc. In psychology, alongside holding UK’s PGCE & NPQSL teaching and leadership permanent licenses. Her dedication to music education and performance earned her the title of global ambassador of Cu Boulder, USA (since 2022), and is currently on the Forever Buffs advisory board for 2024-2027.
