I am an oboist and oboe teacher with over 20 years experience of performing and teaching. I have studied the oboe to postgraduate level, gaining a Bmus, LRAM (teaching) and Pgdip in performance from The Royal Academy of Music. I have also lived for a year in Stuttgart, where i gained a DAAD scholarship to study with Ingo Goritzki.

Since graduating The Royal Academy of Music in 2003 i have built up a significant performance profile working with orchestras such as BBC Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonia, Royal Opera House, English National Opera, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and also West End Shows such as Les Misérables. I have also recorded the sound tracks for the recent Paddington 3 and Snow White movies.

I have vast experience of teaching the oboe in dynamic leading independent schools such as St Paul’s Cathedral school, Radley college, City of London school for girls and Christ’s Hospital school. I teach students from beginner to grade 8 and beyond. Many of my students have received scholarships to go on to study in music conservatoires in the UK. i also teach regularly at junior departments such at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Trinity Laban and The Royal Academy of Music.

I like to make my lessons fun, informative and varied and aim to motivate and inspire my students to express themselves and enjoy playing music.
