Ali studied piano from the age of 12 at The Royal College of Music and then continued at the RCM as an undergraduate where she was awarded one of their top prizes before also training at the RCM as a repetiteur in vocal coaching and conducting on their opera school post graduate course.
As a pianist, Ali enjoys a very diverse career ranging from music theatre & theatre to opera where most of her week involves performing.
Ali has an excellent piano teaching practice and is experienced in teaching at all levels and stages.
She is as happy teaching with a focus towards grades as well as teaching students who prefer not to work towards examinations and teaching classical repertoire as well as popular repertoire.
Her work in theatre includes, associate musical director: The Lion King, London, Joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat, London; cover musical director To kill a mockingbird, London; cover pianist: The lehman trilogy, London and assistant musical director for The phantom of the opera UK & Ireland tour, Lautrec, London & Taboo, London.
Ali plays extensively in the West End currently working on The Lion King (guest conductor) Phantom, Les Miserables and Wicked.

Ali also has a postgraduate certificate in performance coaching from Portsmouth university.
