Emily holds the position of principal cor anglais and oboe with Ulster Orchestra. As a full-time orchestral player she also regularly works with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Her musical career has taken her around the world including tours across Europe and as far afield as India.
As a cor anglais and oboe specialist she is passionate about her instruments, as well as about music and musical education more broadly. Before moving to Belfast in 2024, she enjoyed teaching for Enfield music service and Hackney Youth Orchestra trust. She currently teaches privately online, with several students attending some of the most prestigious schools in London.
