Sarah Atter
Sarah Atter is an award-winning Manchester-based musician with a portfolio career encompassing performing, teaching and delivering education and community projects. Sarah has significant teaching experience of over 20 years, having worked with pupils of all ages and abilities in schools, privately and for music services. She currently works at the RNCM and Chethams School of Music, and previously for Yorkshire Young Musicians, the RNCM Junior School and at Bangor University.
Sarah has extensive experience of devising and delivering education and community projects, alongside student and teacher training, large-scale residencies and consultancy work. She works across a variety of fields including music in healthcare, music in the community, music in education, music in criminal justice and collaborative cross-art form projects.
Sarah graduated with a first class degree and performance diploma from the Royal Northern College of Music and Manchester University where she studied the flute as Henry Fielding Scholar. She studied with Richard Davies (BBC Philharmonic), Linda Verrier and Jo Boddington (Hallé). As a flautist, Sarah works across the country in orchestras and chamber ensembles.
