With over 30 years of international performing and teaching experience, Tim is a world-class cellist and passionate educator. A graduate and former junior fellow of The Royal College of music, Tim’s career spans prestigious stages, elite orchestras, and high-profile collaborations. Tim has performed at iconic venues including the Wigmore hall and the Cheltenham International Music Festival, with broadcasts on BBC radio 3 and classic fm. He has toured globally with top orchestras such as the Royal Philharmonic and the London Chamber Orchestra, and performed at the BBC proms, FA cup final at Wembley, and on major TV networks.
His diverse career includes working with Sting on the Symphonicities world tour, recording for film and television at Abbey Road Studios, and playing alongside stars like Plácido Domingo, Dame Shirley Bassey, Andrea Bocelli, and Barry Manilow. He has also performed for the late queen elizabeth and his majesty king charles at royal weddings and private events. Alongside his performance work, tim is a dedicated teacher with a proven track record of helping students of all ages and levels thrive. He leads the strings department at Bishop’s Stortford college and teaches cello at Haleybury College – both prestigious independent schools near London. His online lessons are tailored, encouraging, and grounded in decades of real world experience.
