Ayse Osman

Ayse is a freelance double bassist and bass guitarist with a varied freelance career.
Ayse works regularly with orchestras such as The BBC National Orchestr of Wales, BBC Philharmonic, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and Royal Ballet Sinfonia. She is a frequent performer with The Royal Shakespeare Company, with credits in productions such as Hamlet, Titus Andronicus, The Tempest, The Merry Wives of Windsor, and All’s well that ends well. Ayse enjoys theatre work in the west end and on tour, having worked on shows like South Pacific, Les Misérables, Phantom of the Opera, Treason the Musical, Bronco Billy and Tom Fletcher’s The Creakers. She really enjoys working with composers to create new theatre.
Alongside her freelance work, Ayse is passionate about education. She teaches at Uppingham school and Loughborough grammar school and has delivered workshops with The National Children’s Orchestra. She is also a workshop leader for Orchestra of the Swan and CBSO. She is currently developing her own creative workshops focused on helping children explore confidence and wellbeing through music alongside training in counselling.
A strong advocate for mental health awareness, healing, and personal growth, Ayse also writes her own songs centered around the human experience, exploring different techniques and sounds on the double bass, bass guitar combined with singing.
